pilot training courses are a huge success
The Kitchen Bedroom and Bathroom National Training Group have recently developed and delivered pilot courses in Kitchen Design and Kitchen Installation. These have been developed in association with WEBS Training of Nottingham and generously supported by industry sponsors. The courses have been well received and whilst these are short courses (the installers course offers a technical certificate to support it), they represent the beginning of future courses to be facilitated by the NTG in an effort to up skill the current workforce and ultimately to open up a career path for new entrants into the industry. These courses are planned to run each month this year.
The NTG are working to ultimately create a calendar of industry courses covering all aspects of skills required. They will include Design, Installation, Marketing, Sales, Management, Customer Care, Health and Safety, Building Regulation awareness and many more. Having recently identified the industry skills shortage, we now need to create the education and training path to develop the skills required
The long term objective of the KBB NTG is to be able to facilitate a suite of courses to the industry that will cover most aspects of skills required to build on and endorse the professional services offered by the industry.
