Are we trained to deliver?
We have just returned from Expo with a skip in our step. Once again it was an opportunity to promote the Kitchen Bedroom and Bathroom National Training Group. We received a tremendous amount of very positive feedback. It also allowed me the platform to present three workshops on the progress the NTG has made since the last trade show which was KBB 2006.
‘Are we Trained to Deliver?’ was the message I was promoting in the workshops. We have clear evidence from the current training courses being delivered that training really does add value to your business. Consumer expectations are high, products are very sophisticated and the question we keep asking is ‘Are we Trained to Deliver?’
I am passionate about developing the training we need to address and deliver the skills required to design and install Inclusive kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. The BMA have made great progress in this direction and it is equally important that kitchens and bedrooms follow the same drive. Without the relevant courses and consequent training, inclusive design, which encompasses a wide area of special needs will never be actively promoted.
